  1. Thank you. This is exciting, but it is creating a lot of stress because there are so few spots. People are changing their plans to monitor the website and email for registration going live. Could we find out what time registration opens? Also, if registration fills up today, would it be possible to put all teams and individuals that try to register today into a lottery to pick who gets to participate, so it isn’t just a mad race to register?

  2. I am disappointed that CORA is not supporting the Singapore crews – there should have been places reserved for those crews going to Singapore. This race is the only sprint race in Canada before August.

  3. The link has been open for 5 minutes and the women’s spots are SOLD OUT -what are your thoughts on this process ?

  4. when was it even announced that registration was opening?? i had to hear about it through someone, and super disappointed that women’s division sold out! My Singapore crew members from the East had already planned to come out.

  5. Very disappointing that so many teams committed to representing Canada in Singapore are not going to get to race with their crews. Sold out by 10.30 am PST yet I received a CORA email at 11.30 am with all the registration details ?

  6. A word of advice: get your waiting list forms filled out asap so your positions on the waitlist are timestamped. In the event more spaces are made available you will be contacted based on your waitlist timestamp.

    1. Hi Erik,
The registration opened at 10:21am and was sold out in less than 10 minutes for the women. Your note on this website was sent out 1 1/2 hours later – an email would have been a better choice of communication, then it would have reached everyone. Is CORA aware that many of the Singapore crews representing outrigger and CORA for Canada were unable to obtain a spot for the only sprint competition in Western Canada. As we all know, travel to the US is not an option for most people. I would also like an accounting/ justification for the very high race fees.
      Thank you,

      1. Linda, an email invitation was sent to all CORA members with links to register: the email reached everyone (unless it was spammed by their systems) at approximately 10:20am. If you want to your team to be in the queue for any additional spots that open up, make sure you’re placed on the waiting list.

  7. Very disappointed in CORA for not supporting the Team Canada IVF crews wanting a sprint race to practice. As Linda noted, it sold out minutes after opening in the Womens V6 category and so my Womens 60s IVF crew can’t race. We will now need find a race in the US as a practice race?

Can women’s crews race in the Mixed category?

    1. I echo your disappointment Cathy. The combination of limited notice of registration and limited spots available, creates a very frustrating situation, especially for those who have already made travel plans and booked accommodations thinking they would be racing. Very unfortunate.

  8. 2 APRIL 2026 UPDATE – WAITLISTING IS NOW GONE. The following crew-boat registrations are now open to the public: 2 adult women’s crews and 1 junior women’s crew; 2 men’s crews and 2 junior men’s crews; 2 adult mixed crews and 1 junior mixed crew. CLICK HERE to register your crew.

  9. Hey Kamini, go to front page of CORA website and also CORA’s Facebook event page for Sprint Nationals. The grids are posted. Athletes are arriving today from near and far for a great weekend of racing. Paddles up!
