CORA 2025 Eastern Canada Racing Series

The groundhogs by a majority vote have called for 6 more weeks of Winter. On a positive note, this provides for 6 more weeks of Winter training to prepare for Summer / Autumn racing. CORA wishes to announce 4 CORA Sanctioned Eastern Canada outrigger canoe events for 2025:

2025 CORA Cup OC6 Race Series

It’s back for 2025!

There are FIVE races in the 2025 CORA Cup OC6 Race Series:
Duel in the Desert – May 10, 2025
Jericho Iron Classic – May 24, 2025
FLCC River Run – May 31, 2025
Island Iron (Comox) – June 14, 2025
Canadian National Champs (Comox) – September 27, 2025

Crews must participate in at least 3 of the 5 CORA Cup Series races, including CORA Nationals. Crews must register under the same name, age division and canoe class to accrue points.

2026 CORA Memberships – Registration Now Open

Valid from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026 only.

Registration for membership with the Canadian Outrigger Racing Association for the 2026 calendar year is now OPEN. Note that the fee for adults annual members has increased to $40 for the 2026 year; the annual fee for clubs and for juniors have not changed.

  • Individual Adult Annual CORA Memberships: $40
  • Individual Junior Annual CORA Memberships: $10
  • Individual Adult Single-day CORA Memberships (race day-specific): $20
  • CORA Member Club Annual Memberships: $150
    • NOTE: In order to be in ‘good standing’ for a calendar year, all CORA member clubs must pay their CORA Member Club Annual Membership fee AND have a minimum of 6 individual (Adult or Junior) annual CORA members affiliated with that CORA Member Club no later than 30 June of that year.
  • RACE-DAY (PAPER) CORA MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTED
    • CORA’s insurance underwriter, Markel Canada, requires that each CORA Member (whether Annual or DayPass) must agree to a waiver of liability. CORA members must agree to the terms of that waiver on our shopping cart web page when purchasing CORA membership on-line and acceptance of that waiver is recorded on our database. All CORA memberships (whether Annual or DayPass) must be purchased on-line; NO PAPER APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED.
